Climbing
Climb A Mountain…Or a little hill
Quite literally a stone’s throw away is Chapel Head Scar Lakeland climbing at it’s best. Up the face, along the Scar, down to the Derby for pub lunch and onto the next route.
From your base at Witherslack Hall Farm you are very near, arguably the best of UK’s climbing. Challenging, breathtaking and exhilerating mountain routes are just too plentiful to mention and there’s load of choice for all ages, levels and styles.
Bouldering on rugged seacliffs, scambling on weathered screes or scaling some of the Lakeland Classics can easily be accessed from your door.
And for a bit of practice or just for fun is Lakeland Climbing Centre – one of Europes best indoor walls.
And after a long day in the hills it’s back home to unwind and the view to tomorrow’s climb over the Estuary to the Silverdale Limestone faces.
